Saturday Night Event

Overview

A new tradition is born! In 2006, celebrating the 20th year of the conference, the CCSC:SE conference featured for the first time a special Saturday night event for all interested conference attendees -- an evening at the famous Bluebird Cafe. In 2007, the Saturday night event was a golf outing in Myrtle Beach, and it was a canal tour in Augusta in 2008. See the details below for Salem in 2009!

Special Saturday Event for 2009:
Downtown Roanoke Tour

This year's Saturday Night Event is a tour of some of the attractions of downtown Roanoke, VA.

We will visit the Taubman Museum of Art in downtown Roanoke at about 3:30pm, followed by a trip to see the Mill Mountain Star, claimed to be the world's largest man-made illuminated star. After that we will head back downtown for dinner at the "Nawab Indian Cuisine". The price for this event, including a ticket to the Taubman Museum and dinner (not including drinks) is $30. Transportation from the conference site to the museum, the star, dinner and back to the conference site or your hotel will be provided.

Please indicate your interest on the conference registration form, or by contacting conference chair Anil Shende at shende@roanoke.edu.
