Contest Environment
Programming problems will be solved and tested using each team's choice of:
- C# (Reference: C# Guide, .NET Standard Library)
- C++ (Note for those who care: Uses gnu compiler switches -std=c++17 -O2; Reference: cppreference.com, cplusplus.com)
- Java 11 (Reference: Java Tutorial, Java API)
- Python 3.8 (Reference: doc.python.org)
The practice session on Friday night at 6:00
will demonstrate
basic logistics of the conference. It is especially important to attend this session to be familiar with the fully virtual environment this year. Location
Each team may use as many computers as deemed necessary.
A local proctor should monitor the physical distance between contestants, as appropriate.
An awards ceremony will be
held at 1:30 PM in the main room of the general conference Zoom link.
Friday Check-In
Each team sponsor and their team members must check in using the web app link on Friday evening during the practice session. (Username and password to be provided.) A 45
minute practice session
and tutorial using the contest software will follow.
The contest on Saturday morning will
start with a fifteen minute information session at 9:45 AM
for all team members.
Problem
Submissions:
All teams will be given the same problem set to solve at
the outset
of the contest.
The problems may be solved in
any order.
Awards:
An awards ceremony will be held during the conference wrap
-up session
at 1:30 PM in the main room of the general conference Zoom link. The top ten teams will be recognized
at that time.
Certificates and an engraved plaque for the top
two teams will be mailed at a later
date.
Depending upon the level of local sponsorship,
additional prizes may be awarded. These
will be disbursed
starting with the top team and continuing as long as prizes are
available.
Meal Info
Regrettably, as the contest is fully virtual this year, no meals can be provided. The usual entry fee has been reduced accordingly.
