Introduction

Thanks for hosting a CCSC Conference!

At first glance, hosting a conference will look like a lot of work. It is! But it can be a lot of fun as well. You can do (or at least organize) most of the work well in advance so that only the last few days before the conference and the conference itself will be hectic. It really comes down to staying organized.

In part, the way things have been done in the past will determine the expectations of many of the people you will be working with. Beyond that, most everything else is self evident. We hope this manual will explain some of the less obvious ways things have been handled and will keep you from overlooking some of the details that are so easy to overlook.

You shouldn’t feel bound by this manual. If you have a better way of doing things, talk with the folks your changes will impact and then go for it. Let us know what works and what doesn’t. We’ll update this manual accordingly.
